Latest data from Gate shows a sharp uptick in crypto volatility indexes. The BTC Volatility Index (BVIX) surged 10.56% to 40.92, and the ETH Volatility Index (EVIX) rose 6.83% to 52.88. The increase suggests a notable rise in expected near-term price swings for both Bitcoin and Ether.
At the same time, traditional assets broadly strengthened. Precious metals advanced, with gold climbing 0.75% to $4,508.47 per ounce and silver up 1.9% to $75.847 per ounce, indicating continued demand for safe-haven assets.
Global Indices and Forex Move Higher
Equity markets were positive, with the Euro Stoxx 50 (EUSTX50) up 0.28% at 6,073.15, the UK FTSE 100 (UK100) gaining 0.34% to 10,344.3, and Germany's DAX 40 (GER40) adding 0.49% to 25,115.1. In currency markets, USD/CNH slipped 0.03% to 6.76252, while USD/JPY ticked up 0.11% to 159.791.

Commodities were mixed: WTI crude fell 0.17% to $94.78 per barrel, while Brent crude gained 0.26% to $97.84 per barrel.
