Binance’s futures trading volume rose to about $1.63 trillion in June, marking its highest monthly level so far in 2026, according to CryptoQuant analyst JA Maartun. The analyst said the reading stood out because BTC was still trading in the mid-$60,000 range, while overall market sentiment remained cautious. JA Maartun also pointed to the rollout of Europe’s Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation, or MiCA, and the usual seasonal slowdown in summer trading activity. Even with those conditions in place, Binance’s futures market kept volume at an elevated level. In the analyst’s view, that suggests derivatives participation among traders remained active through June.
Binance recorded about $1.63 trillion in futures trading volume in June, the highest monthly figure in 2026 so far, according to CryptoQuant analyst JA Maartun.
JA Maartun said the volume stayed strong even as BTC traded in the mid-$60,000 range, market sentiment remained cautious, Europe moved ahead with MiCA, and summer trading activity typically slowed. The analyst said the data showed traders were still actively participating in derivatives markets.
