Stablecoin inflows to exchanges have kept falling since 2025 and are now at their lowest level of the period, according to a post by CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost cited by ChainCatcher. The analyst said the current monthly average inflow for stablecoins including USDT and USDC is about $2.3 billion, while the yearly average stands near $3.7 billion. That compares with $5.6 billion in monthly average inflows and $4.3 billion in yearly average inflows when Bitcoin reached its all-time high. Darkfost said the shift points to weak demand and limited investor interest in the current market. He also noted that peaks in stablecoin inflows have often acted as a lagging signal. In his description, exchange stablecoin supply can keep rising as some investors accelerate profit-taking, while newer market participants continue betting that Bitcoin prices will move higher. For now, he said, market demand still needs to improve.

Stablecoin inflows to exchanges have been in decline since 2025 and have now dropped to their lowest level of that period, according to a post by CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost cited by ChainCatcher.

Darkfost said the current monthly average inflow for stablecoins, including USDT and USDC, is about $2.3 billion. The yearly average inflow is about $3.7 billion. When Bitcoin reached its all-time high, the monthly average inflow stood at $5.6 billion and the yearly average was $4.3 billion.

He said the change clearly points to weak demand and a lack of investor interest at the moment. At the same time, he added that peaks in stablecoin inflows usually act as a lagging signal. In his view, exchanges may be seeing an increase in stablecoin supply while some investors speed up profit-taking, even as newer investors continue to bet on further upside in Bitcoin.

For now, Darkfost said market demand still needs to improve.
