Curve DAO has passed proposal 1492 on September 2, appointing yRisk as the risk provider for crvUSD and Llamalend, concluding a selection process that began in July. The proposal received 621 million veCRV in favor votes, with only 5.33 votes against, and was executed 87 minutes after voting ended. yRisk will receive a one-year renewable grant consisting of 125,000 frxUSD principal (deposited in sfrxUSD) and 568,000 CRV tokens, below its requested annual funding of $250,000. The two-person team describes itself as the primary developer of Resupply, a stablecoin and lending protocol built on crvUSD and CurveLend, which suffered a $9.6 million loss from a donation attack in June 2025 – though this incident was not mentioned in the proposal. Swiss Stake, the reviewing entity, acknowledged yRisk's Curve expertise but expressed concerns about its small team size and the workload of monitoring multiple Llamalend markets. The previous risk provider, LlamaRisk, ended its collaboration with Curve early on May 29, ceased operations on June 30, and returned approximately 270,000 crvUSD in unvested funds to the treasury.

Proposal 1492 Approved

On September 2, Curve DAO approved proposal 1492 and picked yRisk as the risk provider for crvUSD and Llamalend. That wrapped up a selection process that had started back in July. The vote was lopsided: 621 million veCRV supported it, while just 5.33 votes opposed it. Fast, too. The proposal was executed only 87 minutes after voting ended.

Grant and Team Background

yRisk is set to get a one-year renewable grant: 125,000 frxUSD in principal, which will be deposited into sfrxUSD, plus 568,000 CRV tokens. That comes in below the team’s original annual ask of $250,000. The group is made up of two people who say they are the primary developers behind Resupply, a stablecoin and lending protocol built on crvUSD and CurveLend, as well as core developers for Yearn and Resupply. And there’s this: Resupply took a $9.6 million hit from a donation attack vulnerability in June 2025. The proposal did not mention it.

Transition and Risk Assessment

Swiss Stake, which reviewed the application, spoke well of yRisk’s Curve experience. But it also flagged the team’s small size and said multiple Llamalend markets would need watching. The prior risk provider, LlamaRisk, said on May 29 that it was ending its partnership with Curve early, shut down on June 30, and sent about 270,000 crvUSD in unvested funds back to the treasury. Curve founder Michael Egorov opened the call for proposals on July 7.
