Dappradar, a long-running Web3 analytics platform, has announced a full shutdown after seven years in operation. The company said the business had become financially unsustainable at its current scale, forcing it to begin winding down services in a difficult market environment.
Founded in 2018 during the early wave of blockchain experimentation, Dappradar grew into one of the best-known destinations for tracking decentralized applications across multiple chains. According to the company, the platform monitored more than 12,000 dapps across over 50 blockchain networks, including Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, and Avalanche. Its data was widely used by developers, researchers, journalists, and everyday users following DeFi, GameFi, NFTs, and broader onchain activity.
Financial pressure ends a major Web3 data platform
In a statement shared on X, the team said it had explored alternatives but could no longer maintain the infrastructure and operating demands required to keep the platform running. The founders described the business as financially unsustainable under current market conditions, making a shutdown unavoidable.
Dappradar said the wind-down process will begin immediately. That includes ending blockchain and dapp tracking, followed by the gradual closure of related services. The team added that future communication regarding the DAO and the RADAR token will be handled separately through community channels.
RADAR slides as the market reacts
The announcement triggered a sharp sell-off in the platform’s native token. RADAR fell from a daily high of $0.00101265 to $0.0006884, a decline of more than 32%. The move came during a broader market downturn, with bitcoin also trading lower and briefly falling below $93,000 to touch $92,368, adding to negative sentiment across the sector.
What the shutdown means for the sector
In its farewell message, Dappradar said it had helped millions of users discover and understand decentralized applications through both bull and bear markets. While the platform is closing, the founders argued that the need for accessible Web3 discovery and analytics tools remains, and expressed hope that another organization will continue the mission.
Dappradar’s exit removes a familiar name from the Web3 data landscape. Comparable platforms still operating include Defillama, Token Terminal, Artemis Terminal, and Dune Analytics. The company thanked its users, partners, developers, and supporters, saying it leaves behind a positive contribution to the growth of dapps and broader Web3 adoption.
