Shares of Datavault AI climbed 4.67% on Tuesday after the company revealed a stablecoin venture with Mandela Digital, a consortium formed with Unity Reserve and Mandela Dlamini & Manaway.

Three-Party Venture and Datavault AI's Role

Mandela Digital will develop Mandela Dollar (MUSD), a stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the US dollar. Datavault AI is the exclusive technology provider, handling token issuance, buyback mechanisms, compliance processes, and blockchain transparency infrastructure. The project targets cross-border money transfers, payment operations, and expanded financial access in regions lacking traditional banking infrastructure.

If MUSD gains broad adoption, Datavault AI could secure recurring infrastructure revenue from transaction verification, recording, and reserve auditing — extending income beyond the initial setup phase.

MUSD Targets Emerging Markets With Social Impact Model

The stablecoin is designed primarily for developing regions and communities with limited access to banking services. A portion of transaction revenue will fund educational projects, vocational training, and poverty alleviation programs through organizations aligned with Nelson Mandela's humanitarian values.

While cross-border transfers and digital commerce are the core use cases, the social impact component differentiates MUSD in the increasingly scrutinized stablecoin landscape.

Regulatory Roadmap and Revenue Prospects

Mandela Digital expects to advance through development timelines, regulatory approvals, liquidity formation, exchange integrations, and commercial deployment. Datavault AI's infrastructure will serve as the foundation from launch, also connecting with SanQtum AI's zero trust edge computing network.

The company views this collaboration as a concrete application of its RWA and compliance-driven competencies. With the U.S. GENIUS Act (2025) imposing federal rules on payment stablecoins — including full reserve backing and transparent reporting — Datavault AI aims to showcase its technology as a compliance-ready solution to attract new clients.

The share price surge suggests investors are responding positively to Datavault AI's expansion from data technology into stablecoin infrastructure, though the project remains in early stages pending regulatory clearance and liquidity buildup.
