Odaily Planet Daily reported, citing STAR Market Daily, that information from multiple investment institutions indicates DeepSeek’s first financing round has reportedly been largely finalized. According to the report, founder Liang Wenfeng is contributing about RMB 20 billion in a personal capacity, making him the largest single contributor among the disclosed participants in this round.

The reported investor list also includes Tencent, which is said to be contributing about RMB 10 billion. The CATL system is contributing about RMB 5 billion, including CATL and Puquan Capital. NetEase, JD.com, Monolith Lishi Capital and IDG Capital are each reported to be contributing about RMB 3 billion.

The same report states that Loyal Valley Capital and Shixiang Technology are each contributing about RMB 1.5 billion.
