DeFi Development Corp. (Nasdaq: DFDV), described as a Solana treasury company, said on Sept. 28 that it added about 47,706 SOL since Sept. 21. The purchase brought its SOL and SOL equivalents holdings to roughly 2.538 million tokens, valued at about $309 million, up around 2% from the prior week. The company also said that since reporting second-quarter results on Aug. 12, it has accumulated more than 226,000 SOL in total, increasing the size of its holdings by about 10%. DFDV said it plans to keep expanding its SOL reserves through purchases, staking, and validator node operations. It also said a recently established $300 million CHAD ATM financing facility will support future accumulation. In addition, the company said its Nasdaq-listed variable-rate preferred stock, CHAD, currently carries an annualized dividend rate of 13%, and that it intends to use income generated from SOL staking and validator operations as a source of revenue to fund those dividends.
