According to the official announcement, the cost of maintaining decentralized bandwidth, storage, and computing resources proved too high to sustain. Despite experimenting with various monetization strategies and paid subscription models, Dmail never achieved a self-sustaining revenue loop. User Action Required: Export Data Before May 15
To help users preserve their data, Dmail Network has launched a mail export tool and account cancellation feature within its decentralized application (dApp). After the shutdown deadline, all nodes will go offline and all user data—including email content, NFT domains, and accumulated points—will be permanently deleted. The team strongly urges users to export their data to traditional email services such as Gmail or other local storage solutions before the cutoff date.
“This is the outcome we least wanted to see, but it is also the most responsible choice for our users, the community, and the remaining team,” the Dmail Network team stated.
