Dogecoin moved above $0.077 and posted weekly gains of more than 5%, standing out during a broader market recovery. The total crypto market cap rose 1.04% over the past 24 hours to $2.19 trillion, while Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Solana logged smaller advances.
Active addresses and whale balances both increased
According to market analyst Ali Charts, the number of active addresses on the Dogecoin blockchain climbed to around 50,000 as of July 5. That increase points to stronger user participation and higher transaction activity across the network. Ali Charts said the shift may indicate fresh momentum entering the market.
Large holders were also adding exposure. Investors holding more than 1 billion DOGE raised their combined balance to 73.85 billion tokens. Large transactions fell to 12 on the same day, but the broader dataset still suggested that major investors were expanding positions. The signals are mixed on pace, not on direction.
Derivatives turnover jumps while open interest eases
Coinglass data showed DOGE derivatives trading volume rose 31% in the last 24 hours to $1.26 billion. Activity picked up sharply. At the same time, open interest slipped 0.32% to $1.04 billion, which suggests the rise in volume was not matched by a comparable wave of new leveraged positions.
Momentum gauges were close to neutral with a slight positive tilt. The relative strength index stood at 51.52, while Chaikin Money Flow was 0.08, a reading that supports the view of modest capital inflows into Dogecoin.
$0.075 remains the level traders are watching
Analyst Jesse Peralta said DOGE is trading inside a broad ascending channel, with price hovering near the lower boundary. In the near term, the $0.075 to $0.076 area is the main support zone. If Dogecoin stays above $0.075, the next resistance sits at $0.081.
A break above $0.081 would put $0.090, $0.10, and $0.12 into focus. If support fails, attention shifts to the $0.070 to $0.068 range. Analyst Celal Kucuker also said Dogecoin has broken above its long-term downtrend line and retested it, adding that holding this support could leave room for a move toward $0.12.
Trump comments added to market optimism
US President Donald Trump struck a positive tone on cryptocurrencies during a Monday press conference, calling himself “a big supporter of crypto” and saying the sector has become a strong and major field. The remarks added support to sentiment across digital assets.
Ali Charts also pointed to a TD Sequential buy signal on DOGE’s monthly chart, a pattern some investors read as a sign that selling pressure may be fading after a long weak stretch. Dogecoin was last trading at $0.07648, with $0.075 still acting as the critical level for the immediate setup.
