Dogecoin has extended its recent advance, gaining 14% over the past 10 days and trading near $0.109. While the broader crypto market has been mixed, DOGE has outperformed many large-cap tokens. On-chain activity helps explain part of that move: Santiment data showed 739 transfers worth more than $100,000 in a single day, the highest level in six months.
Large holders have also tightened their grip on supply. Wallets holding at least 100 million DOGE now control a record 108.52 billion tokens. Santiment said the memecoin’s price jump and the rise in whale activity are “very likely not just a coincidence.” Daily volume has remained steady, while market capitalization has moved higher with price.
Price pushes toward the $0.11 barrier
Chart action shows Dogecoin moving up against a key resistance area near $0.11. The token has made several attempts to climb through that zone, though progress has been gradual. In recent sessions, that level has continued to act as a ceiling.
Not every signal supports a clean breakout. Ali Martinez said the TD Sequential indicator is flashing a sell signal on Dogecoin. Another trader pointed to repeated rejections at resistance and argued that the pattern suggests a drop may be close. Those warnings stand in contrast to strong whale accumulation and positive short-term momentum.
RSI enters overbought territory
Momentum indicators now show a stretched setup. The daily RSI has moved above 70 and is sitting near 73, a level commonly associated with overbought conditions. That reading reflects heavy buying pressure. It also raises the chance of a short-term cooldown if buyers lose pace near resistance.
The RSI trend has been climbing steadily since mid-April, pointing to persistent demand. At the same time, MACD remains in positive territory, with both the signal line and MACD line moving upward. Histogram bars have turned green and continue to expand, indicating that bullish momentum is still intact for now. Even so, fast rallies can leave momentum readings lagging, so price behavior around resistance remains the main reference point.
