Odaily reported that the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania issued an announcement stating that Ruslan Igorevich Tkachuk and Alexander Vladimirovich Ledenev were arrested for allegedly operating AudiA6, a cryptocurrency laundering service.
AudiA6 received about 10,333 BTC since 2021
According to the announcement, AudiA6 has received approximately 10,333 bitcoin since its launch in 2021. The bitcoin was worth more than $389 million at the time of the relevant transactions. Of that amount, at least $19.234 million worth of bitcoin directly came from illegal sources, including darknet markets and ransomware organizations.
The announcement also said a coordinated international law enforcement action has seized and frozen AudiA6’s servers, domains and Telegram accounts. The action covered the service’s online infrastructure and communication channels, while the two arrested men were identified by name in the announcement.
