The U.S. Department of Justice has opened the petition submission process for the AirBit Victim Fund, giving people who lost money in the AirBit Club fraud a path to seek compensation. RCB Fund Services LLC, serving as claims administrator for the fund on behalf of the DOJ, announced the launch on May 13, 2026. Petitions must be filed online or postmarked by midnight on July 31, 2026.
Fund covers direct financial losses tied to AirBit Club memberships
The AirBit Victim Fund was created by the DOJ to compensate individuals who suffered financial harm through the AirBit Club scheme. According to the announcement, victims were persuaded to buy memberships based on false claims, including promises of guaranteed daily returns supposedly generated through cryptocurrency mining and trading activity.
Eligibility is limited to people who suffered a direct pecuniary loss. The fund defines a victim as someone who actually lost money because of the scheme. People who did not incur a real financial loss, including those who only transferred funds for others, are not eligible for compensation. The standard is narrow and turns on documented loss, not participation alone.
Losses will be measured under a cash-in, cash-out formula
Eligible losses will be calculated using a “cash-in, cash-out” method. Petitioners must document the total amount of money or virtual currency used to purchase AirBit Club memberships. That total will then be reduced by any money or virtual currency withdrawn from AirBit Club.
Reported gains that existed only on paper will not count. If participants were shown profits inside the scheme, those figures will be excluded from the compensation calculation. The process focuses on actual inflows and actual withdrawals, which makes supporting records central to any claim.
Claims can be filed online, by mail, or requested by phone and email
The DOJ said applicants must submit a completed petition form together with supporting documentation. The easiest option is to file online at www.airbitvictimfund.com. Petitioners may also download and print a form from the website and mail it, request a form by calling (800) 765-7251, or ask for one by email at info@airbitvictimfund.com.
Mailed submissions should be sent to AirBit Victim Fund, PO Box 6090, Syracuse, NY 13217-6090. All petitions must be submitted online or postmarked no later than midnight on July 31, 2026. The DOJ also directed claimants to its press release for more information on the compensation process.
