ByteDance's AI assistant Doubao has officially rolled out its Pro version, designed for complex office and productivity scenarios. The Pro version is powered by the newly released Doubao 2.1 series models, offering higher usage quotas and introducing for the first time an office task Agent mode. Once authorized by the user, this Agent mode can directly operate the local computer and browser, assisting with document processing, spreadsheets, data organization, and even cross-application automation tasks such as scheduling automatic Weibo posts.
Key Features and Agent Mode
The Pro version comes with a built-in Office suite, supporting multi-round editing and collaboration on online documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. It also provides Skills packages covering creative design, data visualization, financial analysis, and allows users to customize their own skills. Additionally, Doubao Pro supports scheduled tasks that automatically generate daily reports and summary information. For application development, the Pro version can quickly build online application systems with backend databases, though this database feature is currently in grayscale testing.
Pricing and Special Offers
In terms of pricing, the standard plan is 68 yuan per month for continuous subscription, giving access to the Doubao 2.1 Pro model with office task and expert mode quotas more than 5 times higher than the free version. The enhanced plan costs 200 yuan per month (4 times the standard quota), and the advanced plan is 500 yuan per month (10 times the standard quota). Free users can still experience the office task mode based on the Doubao 2.1 Turbo model. ByteDance also offers a special student discount: certified students can get the standard plan for 38 yuan per month. Additionally, an accessibility discount will be provided for visually impaired users.
