The Digital Sovereignty Alliance (DSA), a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing clear and ethical public policy, research, and education around emerging technologies, has announced the successful conclusion of its participation in two recent industry events: a PayCLT webinar on April 22 and the conference "The Programmable Economy: AI & Blockchain Redefining Markets" held on April 24 at Cornell Tech in New York.
PayCLT Webinar: Stablecoins & Tokenized Deposits – From Proof of Concept to Utility
Adrian Wall, Managing Director of DSA, joined a virtual fireside chat hosted by PayCLT, a non-profit professional organization connecting payments and fintech professionals in the Carolinas. The session, titled "Stablecoins & Tokenized Deposits: From Proof of Concept to Utility," was moderated by PayCLT's Managing Director Dean Nolan. The discussion centered on the growing role of stablecoins and tokenized deposits in real-world payment infrastructure. Wall highlighted how these models are integrating into existing financial systems, particularly in settlement, liquidity, and regulatory design.
"Policy is no longer lagging behind innovation; it is actively defining what gets built, who participates, and how these systems scale," Wall said. "Real progress will depend on how effectively we bridge decentralized and traditional finance. We are grateful that PayCLT brings these discussions together and helps shape this foundation."
Cornell Tech Conference: Next Gen Payments in the Programmable Economy
Molly Woodman, Senior Policy Advisor at DSA, participated in the panel "Next Gen Payments" at the conference co-hosted by Cornell Blockchain, Blockchain Builders, Blockchain at Cornell Tech, and Cornell Tech AI Society. The panel brought together students, operators, and technologists to examine the real-world impact of AI, blockchain, finance, and government. Panelists included Andres Lamothe (Director of Partnerships, MoonPay), Jolie Kahn (CEO, AVAX One), and Sébastien Badault (VP of Metaverse/Web3 Strategy, Ledger). The session was moderated by Jeff Rundlet, CFA, Head of Accounting Strategy at Cryptio.
Woodman noted: "Stablecoins are already being used across wallets, payment rails, and settlement processes. The focus now is on how these systems integrate with existing financial infrastructure while addressing interoperability, trust, and regulatory compliance."
The conference explored emerging trends in payment infrastructure and digital asset markets, emphasizing the convergence of programmable finance with artificial intelligence. DSA's participation underscored the organization's commitment to fostering research, stimulating dialogue, and supporting policy frameworks that enable responsible innovation in the evolving payments landscape.
