Du Jun said in a post on X that some family offices he had earlier advised to allocate to Bitcoin and Ether have changed course after going through centralized exchange hacks and supply-chain security incidents involving cold wallets. According to him, a number of those family offices have converted their BTC holdings into IBIT, while another group has sold crypto assets and moved into traditional assets such as physical gold. Du Jun added that he does not know how to persuade these family offices at this point, and said there appears to be no solution for now. The remarks point to how security incidents tied to crypto infrastructure and custody can affect asset-allocation decisions among family offices that had previously entered the market through direct exposure to BTC and ETH.

ChainCatcher reported that Du Jun said in a post on X that some family offices he had previously advised to allocate to BTC and ETH later changed their holdings after experiencing centralized exchange hacks and supply-chain security incidents involving cold wallets.

He said some of them swapped BTC for IBIT, while another portion sold crypto assets and bought traditional assets such as physical gold. Du Jun added that he does not know how to persuade these family offices, and said there appears to be no solution for now.
