Drake also disclosed that a five-person team, including Vitalik Buterin and himself, will join the architecture team for the Strawmap roadmap draft, contributing to the direction of Ethereum protocol development. Furthermore, a new Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) is set to be released, aiming to reduce the block reward to 0.25 ETH. Under the proposal, once the total staked ETH exceeds 50% of the total supply, block rewards will cease entirely.
