El Salvador Continues to Accumulate: Adds 8 BTC in a Week
Data released by El Salvador's Ministry of Finance shows that the country accumulated an additional 8 Bitcoin over the past seven days. As of the report date, El Salvador's total Bitcoin holdings reached 7,696.37 BTC, valued at approximately $461 million at current market prices. This indicates that El Salvador has not paused its Bitcoin purchase program amid market volatility, but continues to steadily increase its reserve.
Since adopting Bitcoin as legal tender in September 2021, El Salvador has been building its national Bitcoin holdings through regular purchases. Although the latest addition is relatively small in quantity, it reflects the government's confidence in Bitcoin's long-term value. Market observers note that El Salvador's accumulation pattern has become a key benchmark for assessing small-nation cryptocurrency adoption. The country's total holdings now represent roughly 0.036% of Bitcoin's total supply.
