New York-based blockchain analytics firm Elementus has closed a $10 million Series A-2 funding round, bringing its valuation to $160 million. The round was led by Web3 venture capital firm Parafi Capital, with participation from Moonshots Capital, Spitfire Ventures, and Colaco Investment Group. The proceeds will be deployed to further develop the company’s blockchain intelligence platform, expand engineering talent, and accelerate go-to-market efforts aimed at both government agencies and enterprise Web3 clients.
Funding Trajectory and Valuation Jump
This latest injection follows Elementus’ $12 million Series A in October 2021, which valued the company at just $52 million. That earlier round included now-bankrupt firms Alameda Research and BlockFi. In contrast, the current round features entirely new backers, reflecting a shift in investor appetite toward compliance-oriented infrastructure. CEO Max Galka stated: “The past year laid bare the critical importance of comprehension, auditability and transparency on blockchains. As the broader crypto industry seeks to emerge from a tough cycle, it will be vital to rebuild in a way that fosters trust, reliability and security.”
Why Blockchain Analytics Matters Now
The collapse of FTX in 2022 and a surge in Web3 exploits have heightened demand for granular chain monitoring solutions. Elementus positions itself as a neutral, third-party provider—unaffiliated with any exchange or custody service—to guarantee data integrity. Its forensic tools are already being used by unsecured creditors in the bankruptcy proceedings of Celsius and BlockFi to trace asset flows and identify potential recoveries. These real-world engagements underscore how on-chain analytics have evolved from experimental technology into a cornerstone of regulatory compliance and legal discovery.
Elementus’ platform offers Google-like search capabilities for blockchain data, enabling users to follow fund movements, flag suspicious transactions, and generate audit-ready reports. The company serves a diverse client base: traditional financial institutions, crypto-native businesses, regulators, and law enforcement agencies. With the fresh capital, Elementus plans to expand its team by roughly 40%, particularly in data engineering, product management, and compliance roles. It also intends to launch a lighter-weight API product to lower the barrier of entry for small and medium Web3 firms.
Market Context and Outlook
The funding arrives amid a subdued crypto venture market, where capital is increasingly directed toward infrastructure projects that address systemic pain points—especially transparency and risk management. As global regulatory frameworks crystallize, tools that provide structured, auditable on-chain data are expected to see sustained demand. Elementus’ latest round signals that investors are betting on a future where institutions and regulators require verifiable blockchain insight to rebuild confidence in the digital asset ecosystem.
