Emirates has rolled out Crypto.com Pay on its website and mobile app, allowing eligible residents of the United Arab Emirates to pay for flight bookings priced and settled in UAE dirhams. The transactions are processed through Crypto.com’s Dubai entity and are handled under UAE regulatory requirements. The launch puts into effect the memorandum of understanding that Emirates and Crypto.com signed in July 2025. In the app flow, users booking through the Emirates App are redirected to the Crypto.com App to authorize payment. On desktop, customers can choose Crypto.com Pay at checkout and complete the transaction by scanning a QR code. Crypto.com’s Dubai entity serves as the payments infrastructure provider for the service. Emirates said that entity holds a Stored Value Facilities license from the Central Bank of the UAE and operates within the relevant framework. For now, the feature is limited to eligible UAE residents. Emirates has not announced a timeline or rollout plan for international customers, foreign-currency payments, or markets outside the UAE.
