The Espresso Airdrop is drawing fresh attention after the Espresso Foundation unveiled a new reward system called Holder Score. The update arrives just before the ESP token launch and reflects a deliberate shift toward rewarding genuine supporters over short-term participants.

Holder Score: A New Metric for Commitment

Traditional airdrops often rely on wallet activity, transaction counts, or snapshots, which are prone to bot manipulation. After analyzing over ten prior token distributions, the Foundation concluded that users who hold tokens longer tend to contribute greater stability. This led to the creation of Holder Score — a system designed to measure conviction. Users demonstrating stronger holding behavior could receive higher allocations when ESP airdrop claims open. The project has also published its methodology, covering eligibility across more than 30 activities with anti-Sybil protections. More than 1 million addresses are expected to qualify, making this one of the larger infrastructure-focused airdrops in recent months.

ESP Tokenomics and Network Role

The ESP token will power the Espresso Network through a proof-of-stake model, used for staking, protocol security, and future network fees. Espresso is building shared consensus infrastructure to enable faster confirmations and interoperability for rollups. The initial supply is set at 3.59 billion ESP tokens with no fixed maximum due to staking emissions. Allocation: 27.36% to contributors, 14.32% to investors, 24.81% to incentives, 15% to foundation operations, and 4.5% to liquidity support. Notably, the community airdrop will be fully unlocked at launch, which could invite selling pressure. Pre-market futures trading has already begun, with some analysts estimating a market entry price between $0.04 and $0.10, though the official launch price remains unknown.

Binance Wallet Pre-Sale Boosts Momentum

Interest escalated after Binance Wallet announced a Pre-TGE Prime Sale. Users with at least 240 Alpha Points can participate; 15 points are deducted per entry. The claim window lasts 24 hours, ending at 14:00 UTC on February 11, 2026. Missed deadlines result in refunds of staked BNB and Alpha Points within seven business days. Approximately 53.8 million ESP tokens are being distributed from the liquidity allocation in this pre-sale, while the 10% community airdrop remains reserved for eligible participants.

Listing Speculation and Market Signals

ESP token appeared on Coinbase roadmap, fueling curiosity despite no confirmed listing. Such visibility often attracts early traders. Some reports hint at a Q1 2026 exchange debut, but the team has not set a fixed timeline. The Espresso Airdrop's Holder Score model may signal a broader trend in crypto reward design — prioritizing long-term holders over fleeting activity. If successful, it could inspire other projects to rethink their distribution strategies.
