ETH/BTC is trading at 0.028, with analysts pointing to clustered buy signals on the daily chart. A confirmed breakout above the descending channel and Ichimoku cloud could open a move toward 0.036 by late summer.

ETH/BTC is trading at 0.028, and analyst CarpeNoctom says several key buy signals are lining up on the daily chart. The setup looks constructive, but traders remain cautious. Over the last year, the pair has gone through multiple false breakouts and short rallies, leaving many investors reluctant to position early.

Price Tests Channel Ceiling and Ichimoku Cloud

From late 2025 through the first half of 2026, ETH/BTC has moved inside a descending pitchfork channel. It is now sitting at a technical inflection point, pressing against both the thick red Ichimoku Kumo cloud and a major downward “mega diagonal resistance” line marked on the chart. Two resistance layers are meeting in the same area. That makes the current zone especially important for direction.

The chart projection cited in the report says that if Ethereum can build enough strength to break above the upper boundary of the channel and complete a full move out of the Kumo cloud, the technical structure would leave room for a push toward 0.036 by the end of summer.

What Needs to Happen for the 0.036 Scenario

CarpeNoctom’s quoted view is clear: Ethereum needs to move decisively above the pitchfork channel’s upper limit and deliver a complete Kumo breakout. Only then does the chart open a cleaner path toward the 0.036 zone. The target is tied to confirmation, not to the current price alone. Until that confirmation arrives, the move remains a technical possibility rather than an active breakout.

Roadmap Update Adds a Longer-Term Layer

While traders focus on chart signals, Ethereum developers are also working on deeper changes to the network’s architecture. The article says that after a research summit in Berlin two weeks earlier, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin presented an updated roadmap. The new plan, called Lean Ethereum, is described as the protocol’s third major era.

According to the project draft, the update cycle will span four years and affect nearly every major mechanism in the protocol. The report says the scope of the reconstruction is being framed as comparable in significance to the historic Merge. In the near term, the market is watching whether ETH/BTC can clear resistance. Over a longer horizon, Ethereum’s base-layer redesign is moving ahead at the same time.
