Ethereum slipped below $2,000, and Jeffrey Huang’s trades on Hyperliquid quickly drew fresh attention. Data tracked by Hyperbot showed that Huang reduced a 1,550 ETH long position near 3 p.m. Taipei time on the 10th, realizing a loss of about $98,767. Earlier, he had already closed his HYPE long, taking another $22,857 loss. Combined, the two trades locked in losses of $121,624.

ETH position was rebuilt before being cut again

The source said Huang had only recently closed 1,650 ETH in long exposure, bringing his holdings down to 3,000 ETH. He then added back to the position during late-night trading around 2 a.m. to 3 a.m., pushing the total back up to 5,000 ETH. Once the market weakened again, he trimmed the position once more.

At the time of publication, ETH was trading around $1,980, down more than 8% over 24 hours. The report also noted that Ethereum had fallen by more than half from the $5,000 level seen six months earlier.

HYPE long was closed earlier with a five-figure loss

Huang’s HYPE trade also moved against him. Monitoring data cited in the report showed that he kept building a HYPE long around 1 a.m. the previous night, with the position reaching as much as 17,500 tokens. Roughly four hours before the ETH reduction, he exited the HYPE position entirely and realized a loss of $22,857.

The sequence was clear: HYPE was closed first, then the ETH long was reduced later as the broader market sell-off picked up speed.

More than 50 trades in 12 hours kept on-chain watchers focused

The source described Huang as trading from the evening of Feb. 9 into the afternoon of Feb. 10, with breaks of less than two hours and more than 50 trades over a 12-hour stretch. He briefly returned to profit during that period before adding to both ETH and HYPE, but the session ended in losses. The report said his cumulative losses had exceeded $25.5 million.

It also stated that since 2025, Huang has repeatedly taken 25x leveraged ETH longs on Hyperliquid, gone through more than 250 liquidations, and accumulated losses above $25.88 million. His trading activity has remained a closely watched on-chain signal.
