ether.fi said it will migrate its Cash accounts and card product to OP Mainnet, a move that covers roughly 70,000 active cards, 300,000 accounts, and related user TVL. The rollout will take place over the coming months through a long-term OP Enterprise partnership with Optimism, with the company saying current usage will continue without disruption.
Accounts, cards, and balances will move together
According to ether.fi, the migration places Cash on OP Mainnet inside the Superchain. The company said accounts, cards, and balances will all be transferred as part of the process, while users keep access to the product during the transition. ether.fi also said it plans to work closely with Optimism to keep the migration secure, and users do not need to change how they use the service before completion.
As an OP Enterprise customer, ether.fi will receive enterprise support and shared tooling. The arrangement also includes a dedicated account manager and priority access to upgrades. For ether.fi, that means access to liquidity already active on OP Mainnet while keeping a single codebase across OP Stack chains.
Cash has processed $265 million in spend since launch
ether.fi Cash combines a non-custodial wallet, a savings account, and a credit card on DeFi infrastructure. Users can move between fiat and crypto, earn yield, and spend globally. The product also includes cashback and asset management features inside one application.
Since launching in September 2024, Cash has processed $265 million in total spending volume, according to ether.fi. The app currently handles about 2,000 internal swaps and 28,000 spending transactions each day, with average daily spend at roughly $2 million. The company added that usage metrics have been doubling about every two months since launch, which led it to look for infrastructure aligned with Ethereum and global payments demand.
OP rewards and gas coverage remain in place
After the integration is complete, ether.fi users will be able to access OP token rewards through existing programs, including cashback, in-app campaigns, and membership benefits. Gas fees tied to card transactions will continue to be covered by ether.fi.
Optimism said the OP Stack processed 3.6 billion transactions in the second half of 2025, equal to 13% of all crypto transactions. OP Mainnet is positioned as a shared execution layer across the Superchain ecosystem, and the addition of ether.fi Cash brings a high-activity payments product onto the network.
