Ethereum Foundation researcher Justin Drake has announced several key developments via social media. He stated that he has agreed to provide unpaid advisory services for a potential $100 million Ethereum public goods fund, with details to be disclosed soon. The fund aims to support public goods projects within the Ethereum ecosystem.
Furthermore, Drake revealed that five individuals, including Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and himself, will join the architecture team for the Strawmap roadmap draft. Strawmap is a collaborative mechanism for discussing and shaping Ethereum's future technical roadmap. The formation of the architecture team marks a more formal phase in roadmap development.
Finally, an Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) aimed at reducing block rewards is set to be released. Under the plan, the EIP would gradually reduce Ethereum block rewards to 0.25 ETH. Additionally, when the total staked amount exceeds 50% of the circulating supply, block rewards will cease. This mechanism is designed to regulate staking participation and maintain the network's economic model balance.
