Ethereum ecosystem teams delivered 28 major updates over the past month, with changes spread across institutional finance, AI, infrastructure, and governance. The batch included work from institutions, startups, and core contributors, all pointing to a broader push to deepen Ethereum’s role in financial markets, AI systems, and public infrastructure.

Stablecoins, ETFs, and tokenized equities gained ground

Fidelity Digital Assets said it will launch FIDD, a U.S. dollar stablecoin built and issued on Ethereum. The move adds to Ethereum’s standing as settlement infrastructure for regulated institutions. Morgan Stanley also proposed a spot Ethereum ETF, opening another regulated route for exposure to ETH.

Ondo Finance expanded Ondo Global Markets with 98 new tokenized stocks and ETFs on Ethereum. That pushed the total number of tokenized equity offerings on the platform to more than 200. After BitGo’s debut on the New York Stock Exchange, tokenized BitGo became available through Ondo as well.

Institutional DeFi access and dormant ETH reactivation

Aave integrated with Balance, allowing institutional clients to earn yield on assets held in offline or warm storage. Separately, thedaofund launched and is set to activate more than 75,000 ETH to reinforce network security. Those funds came from unclaimed assets tied to the original DAO recovery process.

AI agent tooling moved closer to production

Ethereum’s AI track also advanced. ERC-8004 went live as a new standard for AI agents on Ethereum. Ecosystem figures show more than 24,000 agents registered, alongside 80 verified services and hundreds of feedback interactions.

Worldcoin released a redesigned World App and positioned it as a consumer platform for human verification in AI-driven settings. On Base, Allora launched mainnet to supply predictive AI signals for lending and trading systems.

Core protocol security research and scaling upgrades advanced

At the protocol level, the Ethereum Foundation formed a post-quantum cryptography research team. The effort targets long-term security risks linked to quantum computing and focuses on the network’s future cryptographic foundations. Onchain activity also climbed. Ethereum Layer 1 reached a new all-time high in transaction activity, while the BPO2 fork went live and raised blob limits under the Fusaka upgrade path to improve data availability.

Layer 2 networks shipped updates in parallel. Arbitrum activated the ArbOS Dia upgrade, Optimism introduced OP Enterprise for managed blockchain deployments, and Mantle shifted to Ethereum blobs as its primary data layer.

Payments, analytics access, and wallet interfaces expanded

At the application layer, Polygon exceeded $1 billion in daily USDC peer-to-peer payments. ENS data became available through Google Cloud BigQuery, widening access for analytics work. On the product side, Zapper launched a redesigned mobile app, and Jumper released unified portfolio and yield tools.
