Ethlabs said it has reviewed more than 60 Ethereum Improvement Proposals, or EIPs, proposed for Ethereum’s Hegotá upgrade and has updated its priority recommendations across four areas: censorship resistance, transaction confirmation speed, native account abstraction, and performance optimization. The group said it supports FOCIL as a way to strengthen Ethereum’s censorship resistance and neutrality. It also recommended using Quick Slots in the Hegotá upgrade to shorten slot times for the first time and prepare the network for further reductions later on. On account abstraction, Ethlabs backed Frame Transactions to bring native support for passkey wallets, sponsored transactions, token-based gas payments, batch transactions, as well as stronger privacy and post-quantum security support. Ethlabs also said client and protocol design should keep performance as a standing priority, with optimization gains directed toward increasing Layer 1 capacity, shortening slot times, and reducing node operating requirements.
Ethlabs said it has reviewed more than 60 Ethereum Improvement Proposals proposed for Ethereum’s Hegotá upgrade and has updated its priority recommendations across four areas: censorship resistance, transaction confirmation speed, native account abstraction, and performance optimization, according to ChainCatcher.
More specifically, Ethlabs said it supports FOCIL to strengthen Ethereum’s censorship resistance and neutrality. It also recommended using Quick Slots in the Hegotá upgrade to shorten slot times for the first time and lay the groundwork for further reductions later. In addition, the group backed Frame Transactions as a path to native account abstraction, bringing passkey wallets, sponsored transactions, token-denominated gas payments, batch transactions, and improved privacy and post-quantum security support.
Ethlabs also said client and protocol design should continue to prioritize performance, with optimization gains used to increase Layer 1 capacity, shorten slot times, and reduce node operating requirements.
