ETHTaipei 2026, the annual Ethereum developer conference in Taiwan, is scheduled for Sept. 13-14, 2026 at POPOP Taipei in Nangang, Taipei. Organizers said Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin will deliver the keynote on Sept. 13 during Cryptonative Day, while Taiwan Mobile President Jamie Lin will open Institution Day on Sept. 14. The first day is aimed at Ethereum developers and technical communities, with sessions covering protocol and core development, Layer 2 scaling, zero-knowledge proofs and privacy, wallets and account abstraction, DeFi, consumer and social applications, security, and developer tools. The second day will focus on topics relevant to banks and financial institutions, including institutional wallets and custody, digital asset and smart contract security, stablecoin risk management, real-world assets and tokenized U.S. equities, AI agent-driven machine finance, and blockchain selection for financial institutions. Organizers also said limited free tickets are now available for registration. Additional speakers already announced come from Polymarket, Uniswap, the Ethereum Foundation, ChainSafe, LINE NEXT, CertiK, OneSavie Labs, Quantstamp, Fluidkey, Morpho, imToken Labs, PIF12, and Swarm Protocol. Vitalik Buterin to open Cryptonative Day

Sept. 13, the first day of ETHTaipei 2026, is called Cryptonative Day, and Buterin will open it with a keynote. The program is built for Ethereum developers and the wider technical crowd. It covers protocol and core development, Layer 2 scaling, zero-knowledge proofs and privacy, wallets and account abstraction, DeFi, consumer and social applications, security, and developer tools.

Jamie Lin to lead Institution Day

Sept. 14 is Institution Day, and Jamie Lin, president of Taiwan Mobile, will open it with a keynote. The day will focus on banks and financial institutions, with topics including institutional-grade wallets and custody, digital asset and smart contract security, stablecoin risk management, real-world assets (RWA) and tokenized U.S. equities, AI agent-driven Machine Finance, and blockchain selection by financial institutions. Organizers said the full agenda and timetable will go up on the official website once finalized.

Martinet from the ETHTaipei organizing team said, "Crypto technology and the real world are meeting, and research and engineering are what make that happen. That is the core of ETHTaipei 2026."

Speaker lineup continues to expand

Alongside the two keynote speakers, ETHTaipei 2026 has announced speakers from Polymarket, Uniswap, the Ethereum Foundation, ChainSafe, LINE NEXT, CertiK, OneSavie Labs, Quantstamp, Fluidkey, Morpho, imToken Labs, PIF12, and Swarm Protocol. The current lineup spans protocol research, DeFi, privacy, security, and consumer applications. Organizers said more speakers will be announced later.

Taiwan Mobile joins Gold sponsors

According to the organizers, ETHTaipei 2026 is supported by several companies and institutions. Gold sponsors include BSOS, a blockchain and digital asset infrastructure company serving financial institutions, the Digital Asset Development Research Center (DADRC), decentralized prediction market Sigmarket, and Taiwan Mobile. Silver sponsors include Taishin Shin Kong Financial Holding, smart contract auditing firm Quantstamp, and KlickKlack.

The event will also connect Ethereum communities in Taiwan and across Asia, university blockchain clubs, and media partners.

ETHTaipei says it is a community-driven Ethereum event created to connect blockchain communities in Taiwan and across Asia with leading global teams and to deepen technical exchange. Since its first edition in 2023, the event has hosted more than 3,000 participants, 169 speakers, 129 talks, and over 70 side events, according to the organizers, as it keeps positioning Taiwan as a node in Asia's Ethereum technical ecosystem.
