Evernorth released a research report showing XRP rapidly expanding its footprint in the tokenized asset sector. The network's tokenized assets grew from roughly $3 million in September 2024 to over $400 million in under two years, crossing the $10 million threshold just 15 months before hitting $400 million. This pace ranks among the fastest across major blockchain infrastructures.
15 Months vs 36 Months: XRP Outruns Ethereum
Evernorth analyzed tokenized asset activity across 29 blockchains from September 2018 to May 2026. XRP reached $400 million in tokenized value within 15 months after crossing the $10 million mark. Ethereum needed 36 months to achieve the same milestone. Polygon and Avalanche expanded more slowly during comparable growth windows. Evernorth concluded that XRP now ranks among the fastest-scaling networks in tokenization.
XRP's growth pace aligns with Solana, Arbitrum, and zkSync Era in terms of efficiency. However, the report noted XRP achieved this without relying on concentrated launch advantages that benefited some competing networks.
Institutional Inflows Drive 96% of XRP's Growth
The report highlighted that only 20 trading days accounted for 96% of XRP's tokenization growth over the past year. In contrast, Ethereum's growth came from hundreds of smaller, evenly distributed inflows. Evernorth linked XRP's expansion to large institutional commitments rather than steady retail accumulation.
Multiple large inflow days coincided with treasury-scale tokenization transactions entering the network within short periods. This pattern reflects increasing participation from institutional issuers exploring blockchain settlement. Additionally, XRP's transaction speed (seconds) and low fees align closely with the operational requirements expected by regulated financial institutions entering tokenized finance.
XRP Overtakes Enterprise Blockchain Competitors
Evernorth compared XRP against enterprise-focused blockchains like Algorand, Mantle, and Aptos. One year ago, all three had larger tokenized asset positions than XRP. Now XRP has surpassed them in tokenization activity. Although no direct asset migration was confirmed, the research suggests issuer preference is shifting toward XRP.
The report described XRP's growth curve as among the strongest for Layer 1 blockchains entering tokenization after 2023. While Ethereum remains the dominant network by total tokenized asset value, Evernorth's findings show XRP rapidly gaining momentum through institutional-scale inflows and accelerated growth, positioning it as an increasingly important player in the expanding tokenized finance sector.
