Exodus Movement, Inc. has announced a strategic partnership with Blockchain.com to integrate its Passkeys Wallet with Blockchain.com's fiat on-ramp services. The collaboration aims to streamline the process of creating and funding cryptocurrency wallets, potentially widening access to digital assets for global users.

One-Click Purchases Across 50+ Countries

With the integration, Exodus Passkeys Wallet users can now buy cryptocurrency directly within the wallet interface, eliminating the need for browser extensions or third-party exchanges. Powered by Blockchain.com's payment gateway, the feature supports major blockchain networks including Bitcoin (BTC), Solana (SOL), and Ethereum (ETH), and is available in over 50 countries.

“Our partnership with Exodus makes it much easier for people to start using crypto,” said Peter Smith, CEO of Blockchain.com, in a press release. “By combining our user-friendly buying and selling service with Exodus’ new Passkeys technology, we are setting a new standard. Our goal is to make cryptocurrency accessible and secure for everyone, and this partnership is a big step toward that.”

Enhanced Security with MPC Technology

The integration emphasizes security through Multi-Party Computation (MPC) technology, which requires authentication before wallet actions can be performed. MPC shards private keys across multiple parties, preventing single points of failure while maintaining self-custody. Exodus states that this approach aims to reduce drop-off rates in decentralized applications (DApps) and broaden the user base.

Market Implications: Lowering Barriers to Web3

Traditional crypto onboarding often involves exchange registration, KYC, and withdrawal steps. The Passkeys Wallet + on-ramp combo collapses this process into a few taps. Exodus had already introduced biometric-based Passkeys login (using Apple/Google accounts) earlier; now the addition of fiat on-ramp completes the loop from fiat to on-chain assets.

Exodus, a leading non-custodial wallet provider, has always championed self-sovereignty. By partnering with Blockchain.com, it preserves users' full control over private keys while leveraging a centralized exchange's fiat liquidity. This hybrid model could set a new trend in wallet development, balancing convenience with security.

As of press time, Exodus has not disclosed specific purchase limits or fees, but confirmed compliance with local regulations. Blockchain.com stated it will optimize liquidity to minimize slippage.

Industry observers note that such integrations accelerate mainstream adoption of Web3, though regulatory and anti-money laundering considerations remain. If user experience continues to improve, self-custodial wallet adoption could see significant growth.
