Scammers have capitalized on the hype around GTA 6 to create a phishing website offering a fake leaked version of the game for $50 or 1 SOL. The site prompts visitors to connect their crypto wallets and sign malicious transactions, enabling a 2.4MB script to identify assets across seven blockchains (Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Base, Fantom). The script can immediately transfer assets or obtain permission for future transfers of tokens and NFTs. It also checks the visitor's IP address to avoid targeting users from 10 countries, including Armenia and Russia.

Odaily reports that scammers are cashing in on the hype around the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) with a phishing website. The pitch is simple: a leaked copy of the game for $50 or 1 SOL. Sounds tempting. Visitors are then pushed to connect their crypto wallets and sign malicious transactions.

The malicious script is about 2.4 MB and can spot wallet assets across seven blockchains: Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Base, and Fantom. If a user signs the malicious transaction, the script can move assets right away—or just grab approval first, then transfer tokens and NFTs later.

But before the script fires, the site checks the visitor's IP address. Why? To avoid going after users from 10 countries, including Armenia and Russia, likely to lower the chance of detection. That's the setup. No extra details about the operators behind the phishing site have been revealed.
