FIL recovered from intraday lows after buyers stepped in around the $0.74-$0.75 area, lifting the token back toward $0.7813. During the observed period, FIL was up about 2.32% on the day, while trading volume reached roughly $81.7 million, pointing to firmer participation during the rebound.
Buyers respond at lower levels and trigger a V-shaped recovery
Earlier in the session, FIL fell toward $0.74 before demand returned at lower prices and pushed the token sharply higher. The move produced a clear V-shaped rebound. Near-term support is now seen around $0.76, while the $0.74-$0.75 range remains the main defensive zone. On the upside, resistance stands around $0.79-$0.80.
The increase in volume during the bounce suggests the recovery was backed by active trading rather than a thin-market move. Even so, FIL remains below a visible resistance band, and traders are still watching whether support can continue to hold in the next phase.
Long-term structure stays weak after a multiyear breakdown
A recent post by analyst CryptoPatel revisited Filecoin’s extended decline and highlighted the scale of the drawdown from its 2021 peak. FIL previously climbed to an all-time high near $238, with fully diluted valuation approaching $470 billion at the time. The chart referenced in the post showed a decline of about 99.72%, with price later falling close to a new all-time low near $0.67.
The analysis described a major structural breakdown. FIL had traded inside a broad consolidation range before that setup failed as support weakened. After the breakdown, price returned to test the former support area from below, but sellers defended the zone and buyers could not reclaim the lost range. In technical trading, that kind of failed retest often keeps a downtrend intact.
The decline has stretched across 1,883 days
The chart also pointed to the duration of the slide, covering roughly 1,883 days. Over that period, repeated recovery attempts did not change the broader bearish structure, and sellers kept control through multiple market phases. Short-term stabilization is visible, but the larger trend has not been reversed based on the levels discussed in the report.
Filecoin continues to operate as a decentralized storage network, but the latest price action appeared to be driven mainly by trading flows. For now, the market is focused on whether FIL can keep holding the $0.74-$0.76 support area and whether it can break back above the $0.79-$0.80 resistance zone.
