The US crypto ETF market expands again. On May 28, 2026, asset manager VanEck announced the launch of VanEck BNB ETF (ticker: VBNB), the first US exchange-traded product tracking BNB’s spot price. The fund holds physical BNB in cold storage via Anchorage Digital Bank.

Fee and Staking: 0.39% expense ratio, staking initially excluded

VBNB charges a sponsor fee of 0.39%. To avoid regulatory uncertainty, the product will not include staking at launch, though the prospectus retains a clause to enable it in the future. This means investors won’t earn staking yield from the fund, unlike some other crypto ETFs that already offer staking.

Why BNB? VanEck touts resilient network fundamentals

BNB is the fourth-largest cryptocurrency by market cap, at roughly $88.3 billion. Despite recent price dips around $655, VanEck’s team highlights its strong ecosystem. Senior investment analyst Patrick Bush stated: “BNB has been one of the most resilient large caps in this market cycle. While most Layer 1 competitors saw sharp pullbacks, BNB held up relatively well over the past year.” He cited network data: BNB Chain processes over 14 million daily transactions, has ~2.5 million daily active users, supports over $16 billion in stablecoin supply and $3.6 billion in real-world assets (RWA).

Filling the gap in major crypto ETFs

VBNB joins VanEck’s existing spot crypto ETF lineup, which includes Bitcoin (HODL), Ethereum (ETHV), Solana (VSOL), and Avalanche (VAVX). Kyle DaCruz, Director of Digital Assets Products, commented: “Until today, BNB was one of the few major crypto assets without a US-listed spot ETP. VBNB changes that, offering US investors easy access to this economically significant blockchain network.”

Competitor Grayscale had earlier filed an S-1 for a BNB trust, but VanEck reached the finish line first. Analysts suggest the launch could attract more institutional capital into the BNB ecosystem.
