Ondo Finance said on March 25 that it is working with Franklin Templeton to bring five ETFs onchain through Ondo Global Markets, giving investors tokenized exposure to traditional fund products. According to Ondo, this is the first time Franklin Templeton-managed ETFs have been made available onchain in tokenized form. The underlying funds remain under Franklin Templeton’s management, while Ondo provides the tokenization framework and digital access layer.

Five funds span equities, gold, and fixed income

The lineup includes the Franklin Focused Growth ETF (FFOG), Franklin U.S. Large Cap Multifactor Index ETF (FLQL), Franklin Responsibly Sourced Gold ETF (FGDL), Franklin High Yield Corporate ETF (FLHY), and Franklin Income Equity Focus ETF (INCE). Together, the products cover growth stocks, large-cap equities, gold exposure, high-yield corporate bonds, and income-focused equities.

The structure described by Ondo starts with purchasing the underlying securities in traditional markets and holding them in a regulated vehicle. Ondo then issues blockchain-based tokens that mirror ownership of those ETF shares. That changes access from a brokerage-style account model to wallet-based holding, allowing investors to keep the tokenized exposure directly in crypto wallets.

Distribution shifts from brokerage rails to blockchain rails

The arrangement does not alter how the funds are run. Franklin Templeton still manages the ETFs under their existing strategies. What changes is how investors access and hold them. The report says tokenized ETFs can trade outside normal exchange hours, including on weekends, and can be held through self-custody wallets instead of broker-controlled accounts. In onchain form, these assets can also be used inside DeFi systems as collateral.

The geographic angle is also central to the rollout. For investors without direct access to U.S. brokerage infrastructure, the onchain model opens a new route through stablecoins and digital wallets. The article points to regions such as Latin America and Asia, while noting that current deployment is focused mainly on jurisdictions outside the United States because of regulatory conditions.

Ondo cites platform scale in tokenized securities

Ondo said Ondo Global Markets has accumulated more than $700 million in total value locked and more than $12 billion in volume since September 2025, with over 70,000 holders. The company described the platform as the largest tokenized securities platform globally and framed the Franklin Templeton partnership as a new distribution path for established financial products while keeping institutional standards intact.
