FTX's bankruptcy restructuring enters a new phase. The recovery trust announced the fourth distribution will start on March 31, 2026, totaling approximately $2.2 billion. This round covers both convenience and non-convenience class creditors and for the first time sets a timeline for preferred equity holders.
$2.2 Billion Payout: March 31 Launch
Eligible creditors who have completed prerequisites will receive funds within 1-3 business days after the distribution date. Payments are disbursed through service providers BitGo, Kraken, or Payoneer. Once users bind their accounts on these platforms, they forfeit the right to direct cash distribution, with funds routed via the service provider.
Preferred Equity Compensation Details Revealed
This marks the first time FTX has disclosed repayment specifics for equity holders. Preferred shareholders have a record date of April 30, 2026, with the first payment on May 29, 2026. Funds will be distributed through the Preferred Shareholder Remittance Trust (PSRT). Shareholders must complete identity verification and submit proof of ownership by end of April.
Eligibility and Anti-Fraud Warning
FTX reminds all affected customers to log into the official portal (https://claims.ftx.com), complete KYC verification, submit tax forms, and bind accounts with designated service providers. The recovery trust warned of a surge in phishing attacks mimicking official websites and emails. FTX will never ask users to connect personal wallets to claim funds; all actions should be conducted solely via the official portal.
