FTX has officially set its next distribution date. After years of legal battles and billions in losses, creditors get another shot at recovery. This round carries strict deadlines, new rules, and a surprising $600 million release you can't afford to miss.
Three Dates to Mark
Three dates define the entire distribution round. Missing one could delay recovery by months.
- June 16, 2026 — Official record date. Only verified, allowed claim holders on this date qualify for the July payout.
- June 30, 2026 — NFT Customer Entitlement Claim holders start their separate distribution process.
- July 31, 2026 — Main payout day, funds sent to all eligible creditors and preferred equity holders via three distribution platforms.
The June 16 record date is the most critical. If your claim is not fully verified and reflected in the official claims register by then, you receive nothing this round. Transferred claims must be processed and recorded before June 16, with a mandatory 21-day notice period cleared.
Where the $600 Million Comes From
Per Wu Blockchain on X, FTX filed an amended notice with the Bankruptcy Court proposing to cut the disputed claims reserve from $2.4 billion to $1.8 billion, freeing up roughly $600 million in extra cash. This money goes directly to approved creditors in the July 31 distribution. Court approval is still needed, but the filing signals strong confidence in the claims process.
Who Gets Paid and Which Platform
Three platforms handle all payments: BitGo, Kraken, and Payoneer. You must onboard with one before the record date. No onboarding means no payout.
Three Steps Before June 16
The company requires all creditors to complete: KYC verification (confirm identity on chosen platform), tax form submission, and platform onboarding (register with BitGo, Kraken, or Payoneer). Miss any step, miss the distribution.
Preferred Shareholders Also Paid July 31
Preferred equity holders receive their next payment on July 31, 2026, with the same record date of June 16. If you haven't received any payment by May 29, 2026, act immediately: complete KYC, submit tax forms, provide ownership certification, and onboard with BitGo or Payoneer — all before June 16.
NFT Holders Get a Separate Process
FTX NFT Customer Entitlement Claim holders have an earlier timeline. Their distribution process opens June 30, 2026 — one full month before the main payout. Steps: complete pre-distribution requirements, opt into the NFT process, provide a valid crypto wallet address, and log in to Step 10 at claims.ftx.com. The wallet address is critical; no valid address means no NFT transfer.
Scam Alert
FTX issued a direct warning. Phishing emails impersonating FTX Recovery Trust are circulating. Fake versions of the Customer Portal are appearing online. Remember: FTX will never ask you to connect your wallet. If any message requests wallet access, it is a scam. Report it to Customer Support immediately.
