Digital asset exchange Gate has published its August 2026 Transparency Report, laying out its latest operating figures across trading, TradFi products, wealth management, on-chain services and institutional business.
The report says Gate maintained growth across multiple business lines in August as digital assets and traditional finance moved closer together, and that it is strengthening a financial services system designed to cover different asset classes, trading scenarios and user needs.
Trading metrics remained active in August
Citing DefiLlama data, Gate said its combined 24-hour spot and derivatives trading volume was about $9.5 billion, ranking in the global top three. Open interest reached $12.48 billion, also placing it among the top three globally. Over the past 30 days, net inflows totaled $308.1 million, ranking top two among major trading platforms.

CryptoRank data showed Gate’s RWA perpetual open interest reached $378.8 million, giving it a 49.6% share of the global centralized exchange market in that segment and a No. 1 ranking.
TradFi and asset management businesses expanded
Gate described TradFi as a key growth driver in August. According to the report, its stock spot offering now covers more than 12,800 instruments, and the platform formally entered the Japanese market with an initial batch of about 300 Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed stocks. Cumulative stock trading volume has passed $2 billion.
During the same period, CFDs covered 680 trading pairs. TradFi assets exceeded 1,000, including stock derivatives tied to more than 360 underlying assets.
On the asset management side, Gate said its Simple Earn product added 23 new projects. Total subscriptions reached $1.626 billion, while monthly peak TVL hit $1.624 billion. Peak TVL for its on-chain earning products reached $1.44 billion, up 13.4% from the previous month. Funds in GUSD climbed to $257 million, a record high.

Elsewhere, Gate Swap trading volume increased 28.4% from the previous month, and Perp DEX API trading volume rose 134%. Gate said those figures pointed to stronger activity in new trading formats and on-chain trading beyond conventional derivatives.

The platform also rolled out upgrades including isolated margin, USDC flash swap repayment, arbitrage opportunity display and API service improvements. The report said those changes were aimed at improving trading, settlement and treasury infrastructure for professional traders and institutional clients.
Reserve size reached $8.215 billion
Alongside business expansion, Gate updated its reserve and transparency figures. As of Aug. 19, 2026, total reserves had risen to $8.215 billion, and the overall reserve ratio stood at 127%.

Gate said it continued to build community ties through global offline events, content efforts and community interaction. The company appeared at Coinfest Asia 2026 and hosted activities as a Summer Bay sponsor. It also used channels such as Gate Live to engage with users and industry participants worldwide.
Founder and CEO Dr. Han also gave an interview to The Economist, where he discussed industry development, risk management, user protection and regulation, and introduced Gate’s work in TradFi, global compliance, proof of reserves and AI infrastructure.
The report said business lines including stocks, ETFs, RWAs, wealth products, on-chain trading and institutional services continued to show momentum. It added that third-party institutions had also been tracking Gate’s performance through indicators such as market activity, TradFi derivatives and RWA trading.
Gate said it will keep refining its product system while strengthening asset security and global service capabilities, with trading, investing, asset management and intelligent services developing in tandem.
