In precious metals, gold rose to $4,078 per ounce, up 0.18% on the day, while silver climbed to $63.582 per ounce, posting a daily gain of 2.72%. At the same time, crypto-related volatility gauges moved lower. BVIX, the BTC Volatility Index, was last quoted at 46, down 2.65% on the day. EVIX, the ETH Volatility Index, was last quoted at 59.5, down 1.51%.
Precious metals advance while crypto volatility gauges decline
Gate’s pricing showed both gold and silver trading higher, with silver recording the larger daily increase. BVIX and EVIX, which track volatility conditions linked to BTC and ETH respectively, both declined during the same session. The data therefore presents a market picture in which precious metal prices moved upward while the listed crypto volatility indexes moved lower.
