Gate has rolled out a broad upgrade to its gStocks tokenized securities service, adding five new financial functions: collateralized borrowing, a yield product, unified account integration, margin trading, and stock dividends. The update expands the range of use cases for tokenized equity assets beyond simple trading and into yield management and liquidity management.
According to ChainCatcher, gStocks now supports more than 58 global tokenized securities, covering U.S. stocks, South Korean stocks, pre-IPO equity, and ETFs. Gate said the service uses a 1:1 native stock reserve mechanism to offer a transparent asset-holding experience. It also supports 24/7 trading and allows users to start with as little as 1 USDT.
After the upgrade, users can unlock liquidity by borrowing against their gStocks holdings without selling them. Idle stock assets can also be deployed into the platform’s yield management product. Gate has also integrated gStocks into its unified account system, allowing tokenized stock assets to be used as trading collateral while supporting leveraged trading, long and short strategies, and stock dividend features.
