Odaily reported that crypto asset trading platform Gate, also known as Gate.io in the market, announced the listing of RLUSD, the U.S. dollar stablecoin launched by Ripple. The listing is scheduled for 17:00 on June 15 (UTC+8). At the same time, Gate will open four trading pairs: BTC/RLUSD, ETH/RLUSD, XRP/RLUSD and RLUSD/USDT.
Reserve Structure and Payment Use Case
According to the announcement, RLUSD is fully backed on a 1:1 basis by U.S. dollar deposits, short-term U.S. Treasuries and other cash equivalents. Gate also said RLUSD uses monthly reserve audit reports to improve transparency and compliance around its reserve arrangements.
The stablecoin is designed for payment scenarios. Its stated aim is to meet growing demand from users, developers and institutions for a stablecoin that is transparent, interoperable and suitable for real-world applications. With the Gate listing, RLUSD will have direct markets against BTC, ETH, XRP and USDT, covering both major crypto asset conversion and stablecoin-to-stablecoin trading.
750,000 RLUSD in Market Incentives
To support the launch, Gate is introducing a market incentive plan with a total size of 750,000 RLUSD. The package includes CandyDrop trading incentives, VIP-exclusive airdrops, withdrawal fee reductions and KOL promotion initiatives. These measures are arranged across trading activity, user-tier rewards, asset transfers and external promotion.
Gate said the incentive plan is intended to guide real trading demand, improve order-book depth, encourage participation from new users and increase market activity. The exchange described the RLUSD listing and the release of incentive resources as part of its direction to continue improving its stablecoin trading ecosystem, multi-asset liquidity and trading efficiency. Gate also stated that it will expand more high-quality assets and ecosystem partnerships on the existing foundation, supporting the continued evolution of digital asset market infrastructure.
