Gate Voyage kicked off its first day in Bali on Sept. 20 with three themed sessions. The focus: Gate’s move from an exchange platform toward a broader ecosystem, its strategy for growing a global brand, and its push into TradFi business lines. Gate executives and industry media representatives joined the discussions.
From exchange services to a broader ecosystem
Gate Executive Director Edwin Cheung gave a talk titled "From Exchange to Ecosystem." He zeroed in on TradFi, fiat and payments, trading infrastructure, fiat on- and off-ramp channels, and Gate.AI, laying out Gate’s path from crypto trading services toward a wider ecosystem.
Two brand videos were shown during the session as well. Short and direct. They were meant to show Gate’s ongoing evolution.
Global brand growth strategy
In a fireside chat, Gate CMO Kyle Chiu and The Block Head of APAC Coco Zhang discussed "From F1 to Inter Milan: How Gate achieved global growth." They talked through sports partnerships, international market expansion, and Gate’s global branding strategy. And also how ecosystem partnerships and brand building can help crypto brands grow across global markets.
Media Studio session on TradFi
Another Media Studio session put Gate’s TradFi business layout front and center. BlockBeats Executive Editor Thomas Zhang joined the discussion on several asset categories, including stocks, tokenized assets, and Pre-IPO opportunities, along with the tightening link between digital asset platforms and traditional financial markets.
Put together, the three sessions tackled ecosystem building, global brand strategy, and TradFi business expansion. The picture was pretty clear: Gate is stretching beyond crypto trading services toward a broader financial ecosystem.
The first day’s agenda wrapped in Bali. After that, guests kept talking by the coast and joined a BBQ party. Gate said it will use the event to keep building ties with global partners and industry resources while exploring more possibilities across business segments and markets.
