The Geode Foundation has announced the listing of its native token, GEODE, on BitMart. The US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit said the move brings its token to a global trading platform that serves millions of users, while placing new attention on the broader Geode Chain ecosystem rather than the token alone.

Geode says its mainnet has run for 34 straight months

According to the project, Geode Chain launched its mainnet in February 2023 and has recorded zero downtime across 34 months of continuous operation. The network uses a Nominated Proof of Stake, or NPoS, consensus model. Geode said this setup consumes 99% less energy than Proof of Work alternatives and allows participation from everyday devices including laptops, desktop computers, and smartphones.

The foundation also used the listing announcement to highlight a fully deployed suite of native applications. Those tools cover on-chain intellectual property registration with immutable timestamps, peer endorsement of expertise, direct monetization for creative work, social functions, private messaging, marketplace features, and cross-chain dApp discovery. One of the named products, the Life and Work App, lets users post work history, education, and “good deeds” while tying those records to endorsement and IP protection functions.

Project cites more than 10,000 registered users

Geode said the network has reached more than 10,000 registered users. It also claimed that about 40% of account holders take part as ambassadors, product testers, or innovation team members. The project linked that activity level to its “post-to-earn” programs, onboarding incentives, and reward structures tied to actions such as content creation and validator nominations.

In the same release, Geode described itself as a self-funded project built by a global volunteer team spanning development, marketing, and governance. It said the project has not relied on venture capital or fiat funding. The chain also uses on-chain governance for treasury decisions, code upgrades, and runtime parameter changes.

Founders outline a long-term economic vision

Geode is led by Thomas Messegee and Dr. Kathryn Messegee. Thomas Messegee is described as the technical team lead overseeing development, while Dr. Kathryn Messegee is identified as founder and CEO. Project materials say she has a background in mathematics and behavioral science and previously served as a DARPA program manager.

In a quoted statement, Dr. Kathryn Messegee said Geode is not “just another blockchain” but a 50-year vision centered on economic sovereignty. The foundation said its roadmap extends beyond the current exchange listing and includes broader use cases for GEODE, along with expansion plans involving AI and blockchain integration. The Geode Foundation said it was founded in February 2022 and is headquartered in Florida.

The release ended with a standard disclaimer saying the information is for informational purposes only and should not be treated as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold financial assets. It also warned that digital asset prices can rise or fall and that trading or holding crypto carries substantial risk.
