ESMA has updated its MiCA interim register to add six German cooperative banks as crypto-asset service providers (CASPs), bringing the country’s total authorized firms to 79. Germany remains the EU leader by count, ahead of France at 35 and the Netherlands at 29. The bloc’s total number of CASP authorizations has risen to 331, according to crypto.news.

ESMA has updated its MiCA interim register to add six German cooperative banks as crypto-asset service providers (CASPs), Techub News reported.

The newly listed institutions include Raiffeisenbank Aidlingen, Ihre Volksbank and VR Bank Mittelfranken Mitte, among six banks named in the update. With the addition, Germany’s total number of authorized firms has risen to 79, keeping the country in first place among EU member states.

Crypto.news said France now has 35 authorized firms, while the Netherlands ranks third with 29. Across the European Union, the total number of CASP authorizations has climbed to 331.
