Gigabyte Technology has completed pricing for an overseas depositary receipt, or GDR, offering that is expected to raise $526 million, or about NT$17.05 billion, while its September revenue climbed to a record high on strong AI server shipments.
According to ABMedia, the company said the proceeds will be used in full to support overseas material procurement needs, giving it additional operating funds for a large pipeline of AI server orders.
GDR priced at $21.05 per unit
Gigabyte is issuing 25 million GDR units, representing 50 million common shares, with each unit corresponding to two common shares. The issue price was set at $21.05 per unit.
Using an exchange rate of 32.408, the implied price is about NT$341.09 per share. The GDR is scheduled to list on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange on Nov. 2.
The company said the equity dilution ratio from the capital increase is about 6.95% and would not cause material dilution to the interests of existing shareholders.
September revenue reached NT$63.099 billion
On the operating side, Gigabyte reported September consolidated revenue of NT$63.099 billion, up 125.45% from the same month last year. The figure also amounted to roughly 60% of the company’s total first-quarter revenue and marked a record high for a single month.
The report said the market broadly sees AI servers as the main driver behind the revenue surge, though Gigabyte did not disclose a monthly revenue figure specifically for AI servers.
AI product push continued in cloud and edge markets
Gigabyte has also kept expanding its product lineup and market reach. Its server-focused subsidiary, Giga Computing, presented rack-level AI solutions at the Open Compute Project Global Summit in mid-October and said it is powering European cloud service provider Scaleway’s new AMD Instinct GPU service.
In the end-user market, the company also introduced an upgraded version of its GIGABYTE AI TOP ATOM personal AI supercomputer with 64GB of unified memory, aimed at lowering the hardware threshold for local AI model development.
40th anniversary exhibition runs through Nov. 1
As Gigabyte marks its 40th anniversary, the company is holding a brand exhibition titled GIGABYTE 40 | INFINITE POSSIBILITIES at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park through Nov. 1, presenting its evolution from traditional motherboards to the AI computing era.
ABMedia said Gigabyte’s shipment and profit performance will remain in focus for capital markets as the company combines record AI-related revenue momentum with fresh funding in excess of NT$10 billion.
