Gate data shows gold and silver moved higher intraday, while BVIX and EVIX declined. Forex pairs, European equity indexes and crude oil prices also recorded separate moves.

According to the latest data from Gate, precious metals traded higher on an intraday basis. Gold rose to USD 4,335.78 per ounce, up 0.19% for the day, while silver climbed to USD 70.201 per ounce, gaining 0.75% intraday. In contrast with the rise in precious metals, crypto-related volatility indicators moved lower in the same set of quoted market data.

BVIX and EVIX both retreat

On the crypto volatility side, BVIX, the BTC Volatility Index, was last quoted at 38.2, down 3.05% on the day. EVIX, the ETH Volatility Index, was last quoted at 56.25, down 1.06% intraday. These two indicators correspond to volatility readings linked to Bitcoin and Ethereum, respectively, and formed the main crypto-market change highlighted in the Gate data.

In foreign exchange markets, the U.S. dollar against offshore Chinese yuan, USD/CNH, rose 0.05% intraday, with the current exchange rate at 6.75952. The U.S. dollar against the Japanese yen, USD/JPY, fell 0.04% on the day, with the current exchange rate at 160.291. The two quoted currency pairs moved in different directions within the data set.

European indexes and crude oil prices advance

For global equity indexes, the Europe 50 Index, EUSTX50, rose 0.56% intraday to 6,282.58 points. The U.K. FTSE 100 Index, UK100, gained 0.05% to 10,474.4 points, while Germany’s DAX40 Index, GER40, increased 0.26% to 24,842.5 points. In commodities, WTI crude oil rose 0.6% on the day to USD 77.55 per barrel, and Brent crude oil gained 0.69% to USD 81.18 per barrel.
