Techub News reported that GoMining has announced the launch of the GoBTC Pay Gen1 SDK and API, opening its Bitcoin payment infrastructure to merchants and wallet providers. The release allows external companies to integrate directly with GoMining’s payment network, giving merchants a way to support Bitcoin payments in everyday commercial use cases.
Settlement runs directly on the Bitcoin network
According to the announcement, the GoBTC Pay system allows users to make payments in Bitcoin without giving up custody of their assets. Transactions are settled directly on the Bitcoin network. The infrastructure is being made available to merchants and wallet providers through the SDK and API, so participating companies can connect to the same Bitcoin payment framework.
The system is built on GoMining’s private 15 EH/s mempool and uses the Stratum V2 protocol. GoMining said settlement is expected to be completed within an average of 12 hours. Merchants pay a 0.2% transaction fee, and the revenue is split equally between wallet providers and miners. The source cited in the item is techstartups.com.
