Grayscale has identified Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, and Canton Network as the blockchains best positioned to benefit from the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act. The view came after the Senate Banking Committee advanced the bill on May 14 in a 15-9 bipartisan vote. In Grayscale’s assessment, clearer rules for digital assets could speed up institutional adoption across tokenization, stablecoins, and DeFi infrastructure.

Why Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain ranked at the top

Grayscale said Ethereum remains the leading blockchain for tokenized assets, supported by full on-chain functionality. It also placed Solana and BNB Chain near the top because of their strong stablecoin activity and high DeFi engagement. The report linked those rankings to leadership in stablecoin supply, decentralized exchange activity, and total value locked, metrics Grayscale tied to rising institutional demand for on-chain financial systems.

The firm also connected those networks to a broader tokenization trend already taking shape across crypto markets. That line of thinking is consistent with Grayscale’s earlier outlook, “2026 Digital Asset Outlook: Dawn of the Institutional Era,” which projected stronger institutional participation. Here, the emphasis was on what regulatory clarity could change for adoption and market structure.

Canton Network stood out for institutional settlement

Canton Network was listed as the fourth blockchain, replacing earlier references that incorrectly named Cardano. Grayscale’s original research singled out Canton for institutional settlement and privacy-focused financial applications. The report specifically pointed to the network’s role in hosting the DTCC tokenized Treasury pilot.

Canton’s validator set includes JPMorgan Chase, HSBC, and Visa. Based on figures recently cited for the network, Canton settles about $350 billion per day and has reported more than $6 trillion in tokenized real-world assets. Those numbers gave the network a distinct place in Grayscale’s ranking of chains tied to institutional-grade on-chain finance.

Other chains were listed as secondary beneficiaries

Grayscale also named Avalanche, Base, Arbitrum, Hyperliquid, and Tron as secondary beneficiaries connected to on-chain financial activity. According to the report, these networks already support established DeFi ecosystems and active stablecoin usage. Even so, Grayscale ranked them below Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, and Canton Network in terms of tokenized asset exposure.

The CLARITY Act is now headed toward a Senate floor vote. Before it can become law, the measure still needs House reconciliation and presidential approval.
