According to Techub News, citing a report from coinjournal.net, crypto asset management giant Grayscale plans to launch a spot Hyperliquid ETF this week under the ticker HYPG, with a management fee set at 0.29%. The announcement sparked a sharp rally in the native token HYPE, which surged to a new all-time high of $75.52 on Tuesday.
Hyperliquid is a high-performance decentralized derivatives platform focused on perpetual contract trading, which has attracted growing market attention. If Grayscale’s ETF successfully goes live, it is expected to offer traditional investors a compliant and convenient indirect investment channel, further broadening institutional access to the Hyperliquid ecosystem.
There is already a precedent in the market. Bitwise’s BHYP ETF has attracted $81.8 million in cumulative inflows since its launch, with assets under management (AUM) surpassing $100 million. Notably, Bitwise has pledged to directly invest 10% of its annual management fee revenue into HYPE tokens, locking them for at least 12 months. On-chain data also shows that the firm purchased an additional $24.4 million worth of HYPE in the past 24 hours, further expanding its position. These moves underscore the strong conviction among institutional investors in Hyperliquid’s long-term growth trajectory and signal intensifying competition in this niche.
