Grayscale updated its “Assets Under Consideration and Current Products” list on April 10, adding more than 20 tokens to the pool of assets it may explore for future products. Names drawing the most attention include Toncoin (TON), Hyperliquid (HYPE), Ethena (ENA), and Monad (MON), alongside a broader set of projects spanning smart contract platforms, DeFi, infrastructure, and AI.

New candidates span smart contracts, DeFi, infrastructure and AI

According to Grayscale, the assets-under-consideration list covers digital assets that are not part of its current lineup but have been reviewed by its internal research team as possible additions for future investment products. In smart contract platforms, the updated list includes TON, Mantle (MNT), Monad (MON), MegaETH, Canton (CC), Celo (CELO), and Tron (TRX). In the financials and DeFi category, Grayscale listed Hyperliquid (HYPE), Ethena (ENA), Jupiter (JUP), Kamino Finance (KMNO), Pendle (PENDLE), Maple Finance (SYRUP), and Morpho (MORPHO).

The infrastructure group includes Wormhole (W), LayerZero (ZRO), Jito (JTO), Helium (HNT), Geodnet (GEOD), and DoubleZero (2Z). The AI segment is even broader, with Fabric Protocol (ROBO), Flock (FLOCK), Grass (GRASS), Kaito (KAITO), Kite AI (KITE), Nous Research, Poseidon, Venice (VVV), Virtuals Protocol (VIRTUAL), and Worldcoin (WLD) all appearing on the list.

Current product suite already covers major crypto sectors

Alongside the watchlist update, Grayscale also outlined the assets already included in its product suite. Beyond Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), the firm said its lineup includes smart contract tokens such as SOL, AVAX, and SUI, DeFi assets including AAVE, UNI, and ONDO, and AI-related tokens such as TAO and RENDER. The company said it currently offers more than 40 crypto investment products.

Inclusion on the list does not guarantee a launch

Grayscale added a clear disclaimer in its announcement: being named on the consideration list does not mean an asset will become a product. Launching a new crypto fund or trust still requires internal review, support from third-party custodians, and an assessment of the regulatory stance of agencies including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, or SEC. For now, the update shows where Grayscale is researching, not what it has committed to launch.
