GSR, a leading cryptocurrency trading and liquidity provider, has introduced the GSR Crypto Core3 ETF (ticker: BESO), marking the first multi-asset crypto exchange-traded fund listed in the United States. The fund offers simultaneous exposure to Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL), while integrating staking rewards and active management into a single listed product.

Active Management with Weekly Rebalancing

Unlike passive single-asset crypto ETFs, BESO employs a weekly rebalancing strategy driven by GSR's in-house research team. Allocations among BTC, ETH, and SOL are adjusted regularly based on market conditions and fundamental assessments. The fund also participates in staking for Ethereum and Solana, generating yield that accrues to net asset value. GSR charges a 1% annual management fee, comparable to actively managed ETF products.

“GSR has spent over a decade building efficient crypto markets,” said Xin Song, CEO of GSR. “With Core3, we extend that expertise into a product accessible to a broader investor base. Our ETF strategy reflects a deep understanding of how this asset class is evolving.”

Institutional Demand Drives Innovation

The U.S. market has already approved multiple bitcoin and ether spot ETFs, but BESO is the first to bundle three core cryptocurrencies. This meets growing institutional demand for diversified, one-stop crypto exposure. “As crypto becomes an increasingly important part of modern portfolios, Core3 provides exposure to the key drivers of this asset class – bitcoin's macro impact and the ongoing growth of blockchain technology,” said Andy Baehr, Managing Director of Asset Management at GSR.

The launch comes amid a surge in crypto ETF flows. During the week of April 13-17, Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs attracted a combined $1.36 billion in net inflows, with Bitcoin ETFs leading at nearly $1 billion. GSR is positioning BESO to capture the next wave of institutional adoption.

Looking Ahead: Yield-Focused Expansion

GSR hints at potential expansion into yield-focused crypto ETFs as the market matures. With regulatory clarity improving and investor interest rising, asset managers are packaging digital assets into familiar vehicles. Multi-asset strategies are especially popular as they allow risk balancing across different blockchain ecosystems.

For investors, the appeal lies in convenience: a single brokerage account provides a professionally managed crypto portfolio with staking income, eliminating the need for multiple wallets or exchange accounts. However, investors must weigh the higher fee structure and inherent volatility of the crypto market.
